MORE COHERENTLY:

The thing that I like about them, or perhaps the way you write them, is their dynamic, and you capture it perfectly. I mean, apart from the violence, the whole bestial fighting-for-dominance thing and the fact that they're both sexy animals/hot bitches -- don't get me wrong, I LOVE ALL OF THAT but really, when you break it down, it's just the superficial icing on the cake -- it's the fact that they're equals, or at least, equal to each other in some way. That is what really keeps me coming back to this pairing, week after week, month after month, even as Amano butchers everything I have ever loved. Yamamoto's not just some laughing baseball idiot who exists solely to provide comfort and attention to certain needy man-children (cough cough) -- he's got substance to him, he's got more than one side, and most importantly, he's got that little something, a dash of a certain je ne sais quoi that could conceivably attract Hibari to him and then keep him hooked. And Hibari's just an animal who doesn't get it, until he gets it, but he needs someone to show him the way, and I'm just gonna throw this out there: a guy who can't get it up without his babysitter watching him (THIS IS CANON) isn't the guy for that job. They challenge each other, which is a good thing because honestly I think they're both the type to get bored pretty quick without a challenge.

UM, ANYWAY, JUST MY TWO CENTS. /SLAPS A BIG OLD DISCLAIMER: UNPOPULAR OPINION STAMP ON THIS COMMENT
