Somehow, throughout a lot of this, a part of me felt vaguely twisty as you described Tsuna, Gokudera, even Squalo getting a little uneasy about Yamamoto's sudden need for space. Like I wanted to tear up, but Yamamoto and the solid way he did things, feeling no guilt for what he did and rather guilt for worrying his friends, somehow allowed me to hold back what did sound very much like what Tsuna feared.

Instead, as the story rolled on, I lived through Yamamoto's growing peace within himself and the changes on everyone. The reason untied that knot of anxiety when you revealed Hibari, and the last conversation between Tsuna and Yamamoto. It was a great journey to follow, and even more amazing because really, all Yamamoto did was spend some money, get visited by people, and go to work. Not exactly the most scintillating scenario, yet...your presentation of their humanity really touched me. <3 I'm so glad I read this!!
